Real Pot-Grown Christmas Tree
We select pot grown rather than potted trees because they have been grown in a pot throughout their life and therefore have a fully developed root system. This means if they are kept outside and planted in the garden they have an almost 100% chance of survival. Potted trees have been grown in a field, been undercut and then plonked in a pot. They have little chance of survival. For this reason, for environmental reasons we’d suggest you buy one of our live pot grown Christmas trees - a little more expensive, but much healthier, longer lasting AND better for the environment!
We have two types of pot-grown tree currently available…..
Pot-Grown Super Blue Spruce (Picea pungens glauca)
Our blue spruce tree is a striking Christmas tree with fabulous steel blue foliage, great needle retention and the most amazing real Christmas tree smell. Our baby blue spruce are pot grown premium quality trees. If correctly cared for these trees can be planted out in the garden afterwards, making them the most eco-friendly choice.
Pot-Grown Norway Spruce (Picea abies)
The traditional real tree with dark green leaves. Beautifully shaped and with a fabulous real Christmas tree smell.
These Christmas trees in a pot also make a fabulous garden tree and are perfect in a pot underplanted with dwarf daffodils.
A note on sizing….
Please note that whilst we aim for as much regularity as possible, trees are natural products and we can’t control their growth! We give these size guides as an approximation of their height, not a rule - if you need an exact measurement we will be more than happy to help you in our shop!
Small Blue Spruce - Approx. 50cm
Small Norway Spruce - Approx. 100cm
Medium Norway Spruce - Approx 150cm.
