Reasons to love your flamingo flower

It’s time to Flamingo and get your very own flamingo flower! Exuberantly colourful, with exceptionally long lasting flowers (usually each flower lasts for between 4- 8 weeks), the flamingo flower can retain its colour because those bright pink flashes of colour are in fact a type of leaf rather than a petal! It’s a great choice for adding a burst of brightness into a room, because the ‘blooms’ will last so much longer than on any other flower. With such beautifully sculpted leaves and striking colours, the flamingo flower has been long beheld as a houseplant favourite. The flamingo flower will be happy as long as he is treated like the exotic guest he is – that means lots of light, warmth and humidity. If he isn’t kept in a humid room, remember to mist him frequently with one of our houseplant mister and make sure you don’t leave his feet in a pool of water.

#1. Big Flamingo: Pot size: 18cm, height 60cm. Little Flamingo: Pot size: 912cm, height 40 cm (please not sizes can vary by +/- 2cm according to seasonal variations. Colours come in white, red or pink -if you would like a specific colour please write it in the comments box and we will do our best to select that one for you (however, availability depends on seasonal variation).

#6. A note on pots. We recommend buying pot covers (decorative pots) for your plants for two reasons. Firstly, they look cute and they stop water from going all over your windowsill/ desk/ table etc. Secondly, it makes it easier for the roots of your plant to take up the water they need and gives you a visible indicator of how thirsty they are! If you already own pots, or have an old saucer you would prefer to use, choose the pot free option (shown with plants in their nursery pots). Otherwise, we would recommend buying a pot cover for your flamingo flower.
